ARTIST'S STATEMENT: Stories about Frankenstein and Velveteen Rabbits have always spun my imagination. The creation of new animals, never before existing as I see them, run a continuous thread throughout my artwork. As if displayed by a museum collector, these creatures are suspended in mid-performance, frozen in life. There is tension in these forms, a soul inside something that that has none.
